I asked my ex why she contacted me after a year apart?

So i had an ex come back into my life out of the blue after things ended badly over a year earlier. She was needing some help moving stuff as she was moving in with a girlfriend of hers. I did help her move and things have been good since. But there was one thing bugging me. Why ask me. Things didn't end good at all the last time we talked. I liked a friend of mines picture. She had lost over 200lbs and posted a before and after pick. I liked the pic and commented keep up the good work. Next thing i know she is waiting up for me at 230 in the morning as i work nights asking what is this. Next thing i know, my bags hqve been packed and out the door i go. We didn't talk again until this past may 29th. Everything has been good but like i said, i wanted to know why all of sudden contact me when you can ask anyone of your other friends. So i finally asked her on Friday July 17th. She messaged pretty quickly. Her response wasn't what i thought it would be. She said she needed someone who understands her, loves her no matter what and that person is you. Yes richard, i love you to death. Honestly i dont know where this is going. Last guy she was with killed himself i do know that. Anyways i guess this was more of getting this off my chest rather than a question..
