I hate when we broke it off cause when we did, i flirted my ass off before we got back together 🤦♀️ I was freeeee. But then i felt awful cause who knows what he did while single for 6 hours 🤣 He prob played video games as usual. See this is why i wouldn't “take a break”. But like i said, we broke up, it wasn't a break. Back then We just somehow got back together 🤷♀️

Lol! I have only had one girlfriend. And we broke up and got back together often it was such a toxic relationship. Iām glad we both have grown wiser and less toxic since our younger years.
This is silly of me to even mention but I was in 5th grade (about 10 years old) when I had my first crush. I worked hard to impress her with my puny arm flexing, comb over hairdo and good looks. This was the stage of my life when I was still sexually innocent. I knew nothing about this girl. I hardly remember even talking to her because of shyness. We were both kids and hadn't gone through puberty so I was not sexually attracted to her. There was really nothing sexual about her, or me, for that matter. She was cute, pretty and that was all that was required.
Eventually weeks after the Fall quarter began, I built the courage to write the infamous,
"I like you. Do you want to be my girlfriend, check the yes or no box,"
note that all kids my age wrote to their secret crush. I slipped it on to her desk while I walked by pretending to walk to the back of the classroom to sharpen my pencil (remember those?). I was glad to receive her response by the time the recess bell rang. I am happy to announce that Nancy said - yes!
Woohoo! It was thrilling and exciting to have a girlfriend for the first time. We "dated" (air quotes because it wasn't really dating) and she broke up with me at recess on day three 🙁
I was heartbroken and Pablo, one of the school bullies, made fun of me. By the time the recess break was over, Pablo says to me, "she's going to be my girlfriend next". Out of spite or sheer stupidity, Pablo runs towards the formation line that we all had to form when the bell rang, and kisses Nancy on the cheek 😯
And just like that, it happened. My inner Hulk came out. Not the Mark Ruffalo Hulk, but the original Lou Ferrigno Hulk. It was on. I was about to beat Pablo's ass. I ran up to him almost without hesitation knowing our teacher was about to arrive to escort the line back into class. I punched him in the face and threw him on the ground. Immediately the referee teacher broke up the fight and sent us both to the principal's office with a pink ticket, like we committed a federal crime.
I don't remember much of the punishment, probably because my rage was still in Hulk mode even while in the principal's office.
Regardless, I do remember that by the end of the school day, Nancy made up with me and asked to be my girlfriend again. My response? Fuck yeah!
So in the end, my shortest break up was a true story of elementary proportions. Literally, like half an elementary school day long.
Mine was six weeks into dating a girl. I really liked her and she seemed so nice when it was just the two of us, but maybe I made the mistake of dating her too much. We lived just two train stations away from each other so we sometimes dated 7 times a week, and before even dressing up for the date and still in our work clothes (she was a nurse).
But on the 6th week or so of doing that, I had blown off my friends to date her so one of my friends invited me to his birthday party. So I told her over dinner that I'd like to go to this birthday party and I'd love to bring her with me.
Then I suddenly discovered this whole hidden crazy side to her I had not witnessed the entire 6 weeks of dating. She suddenly became so upset and angry and made a huge scene at the restaurant and told me I have to choose between her or my friends, giving me an ultimatum. I was shocked. But I have a rule never to cave into coercive ultimatums like this, like "We do not negotiate with terrorists!" so I told her I refuse to make such a decision.
She then stormed out of the restaurant and I had to apologize to the surrounding customers and waiter. Then I figured, oh well, I'll go to my friend's birthday party! So while I was on my way there, she called me crying hysterically and asking me why I didn't chase after her. To keep the story short, I ended things right then and there.
She was actually quite pretty. Given her actions, it might sound like I was dating a very unattractive and desperate girl, but she was pretty and sociable working as a nurse. She didn't have many friends and maybe I should have taken that as a red flag. I don't know what came over her that day but I suspect she might have had some major emotional baggage with an ex who might have neglected her for his friends or something. I don't know.
In any case, an extremely fast way to ruin a relationship with me is to give me an ultimatum. Even if the ultimatum is sensible (although choosing between a lover and friends isn't), the coercive and threatening nature of the communication is something I'll never tolerate.
I actually didn't quite end things then and there. I spent the whole time trying to cheer her up and canceled going to my friend's party. But in the end, I told her that it's over between us.
I had one more abrupt break-up and it boiled down to an ultimatum. In that case, the request was sensible. I was chain-smoking a pack of cigarettes a day and that ex told me that I have to choose between her or my cigarettes. I think that's a very sensible thing to want me to quit but I terminated that relationship immediately just because she had to deliver her request in the form of an ultimatum. I see caving into such ultimatums as a lose-lose proposition since, if I comply, she'll get it in her head that she can threaten me any time she wants me to change my behavior. If I don't, I lose her... but I'd rather lose her than comply. I actually ended up quitting smoking later, but I didn't regret ending that relationship either way.
It sounds like one of those rollercoasters in that case you described, like constantly on the verge of flying off the rails. I had one like that and while we never actually formally broke up until we finally did, it was one of the most intense and passionate relationships I had. The sex was amazing although the arguments were the absolute worst.

After committing about 1 month when her husband showed up on my doorstep but all together I was with her for 6 months and I didnāt know she was married. Dating , shortest ever was less than a day , I took a girl out to dinner , then ended up back at my house making out and having sex then we went to the store to get snacks and I bumped into an old friend that said whatās up wastoid jokingly and being silly , well she didnāt like that apparently so that was the last night I ever saw her , I reached out to her and said why donāt you want to see me anymore and she said cuz her ex was an abusive drunk and she doesnāt want to be with a drinker , I said ok I donāt drink everyday and I am not abusive but whatever lol
My wife and i briefly called off our engagement during a heated argument. It was over something trivial but we both refused to give in even a little. As I was driving to my parents house (I was living in her apartment for the summer between grad school semesters) I received a text that said "this is stupid. broke up and got back together for 4 days. then broke it off when I found out she was with another guy. Fucked her little cousin in revenge. wasn't fulfilling and the last time I had sex. 2 years ago, about 3 days, was mostly done online than would get back together we would both keep dumping each other than in the end he left the relationship I never really saw him in the person much. Than the last relationship that was real, I just got out that I left 6 weeks ago back in April I dumped him for 9 hours than he dumped me the next day than got back together 10 days later, than another 10 days had a short break than fully got back together for few months than I left him moved forward.
2 days, I went out with someone thinking she genuinely liked me, then she cheated on me and then I dumped her. It felt so good, not because I got out early, because she got stuck with the guy she cheated with and let me tell you, he is one hell of a douchebag.
Oh I never went back, no always meant no and stayed that way. There is one I had a 'good' breakup with if you can call it that. We're still cool, but I don't feel anything for him anymore. A colleague of mine though keeps ending and trying again. Guy is a player.

My breakups have been permanent. I think because I'm a very laid back person, things don't bother me until they get to the no point of return. Then there is no turning back.
5 months and now we are back I have seen so much and was close to face mental and health issues because of what I have seen and I was lonely I had to ask her help I'm not hoping to continue this relationship but I definitely appreciate her when I was falling and asked her help she said don't worry I'm on your side and will support you i wouldn't stand again without her. Actually I just read ur description and I was in a toxic relationship where we broke up like three times. The first two lasted like a few hours to a half a day. The last one I hopped into another relationship so I broke the loop lol.
