We've been going out for 7 years. . The last 2 years have been hard. Off and on a few times. For around this past year and a bit i had a feeling her and a mutual friend may have had something going on but i always ignored it. This friend was just out of a 10 year relationship and i thought he just needed support.
Earlier this year, on her birthday, he bizarrely posted her chocolates to her work place. She didn't mention this to me but her co-worker did. i thought it was innocent. Things got a bit suspicious a few weeks ago at another friends wedding when all of us were there. Me, my girlfriend, him and his ex. (him and his ex are still friends, we all work in a non profit). I felt unwell through the evening of the wedding and decided to go home early. The following morning, i walked to the hotel to get my car and to meet my girlfriend. I seen them two drive off together and he later lied about this.
Last week I noticed they had had deleted each other from all social media accounts. I decided to finally address it. I asked had they fallen out and she behaved really odd and said she had no idea why this was the case. I told her how i felt over the past few months and she assured me there was nothing to worry about. This was a huge relief.
However, yesterday i dropped her home to a house she is sharing with flat mates. She has been there 2 years and I've never been invited in or met them. I went in yesterday to use the bathroom and got talking to one of the girls who was very friendly. she later added me on social media. that night I found a number of photos she had uploaded in January of them having a mini party in the house (middle of a strict lockdown so it was just the flat mates) and guess what, he was in all the photos. He lives a 5 hour drive away and has no connection to the town or any of the house mates. Has this confirmed my worse fear?
