Why is my ex still following me on instagram (but he thinks I am awful)?

I was dating a toxic guy. I will not write about the things he did because it would be too long. I will only mention how it ended.

I got drunk at a party and got an injury. A friend who envied my scholarship started spreading rumors about me, when i was in hospital. A friend of ours, whom I confided in with problems with my ex, joined her. Of course, I discussed these problems with my ex, but he always made me crazy so I confided in my best friend. However, when he found out, he called me a monster and broke up at me laughing but he continues to watch my stories. And I wonder why?

I would also like to add that my ex best friend whom I confided in is now dating my ex and they both follow me on IG and he watch my EVERY story.

I agree that sometimes it's just curiosity or we just follow many random people. However, I think that when you tell someone that they are a monster and you don't want to know this person, you don't look at they instastory every day. Especially since you only see that person's best moments.

I can assure you the answer to why they're following you, would still not give you relief or satisfaction you seek, and instead, you should do yourself a favor and block his ass and find better people to surround yourself with. Of course easier said than done. I too also wonder what certain actions my partners did truly meant, but I've been told I over think everything, they just do something we don't always understand the mechanics behind it, we continue to do things unless someone calls attention to it. Like if someone said hey man you should unfollow your ex and they would think oh should I? I guess you're right and then they'd see if it really changed anything about their outlook on their ex or themselves as an ex.

i have no idea , i had an account on instagram until i got locked out for being unable to verify identidy , despite the fact it was obviously me using it. i was following over 7000 pages by the end so was literally following everyone i knew and a lot i didn't knew but though were interesting enough to follow
