Basically, my boyfriend and I are broken up now (since Wednesday), and he asked me for space. This happened due to a string of miscommunications and my mental health issues. He ended it: on Saturday he was visiting his mom, and I receive a text from her, asking how I am, and when I ask her what she thinks of the situation, she says that giving him space does not mean it won’t be fixable. We are close, but I also feel like that advice wouldn’t have been given if it was truly over.

I dont know what you mean by mental health issues? But as a man if we decide to leave the relationship its usually a power play or something is terribly wrong with the relationship. My advice. Text him and aplogize for any of your wrongdoings and explain what he does that you dont like. Say you would like to work on the connection and then say you'll give him his space to think about thing for a bit and dont reach out until he does. If he takes more than 2 weeks move on and dont take him back.

He was saying it was and he didn’t want to plan to get back together but IF WE DID we needed to be healed etc etc and he needed to see a big commitment to some change on my end.
