Girls and guys, why would you want to get full custody of your child/ren from your ex?

If my ex and I had kids, I would feel bad for them if she retained custody. She doesn't natively think of, or value, the needs of other people. In order to raise children that won't need therapy as adults, their welfare needs to be more important to you than your own. She is a very selfish person that has impulse control and mental health issues that would absolutely compromise her ability to raise any hypothetical children.

I used to think I should have full custody because I mostly raised him from kindergarten age to a teenager. I didn't like my ex trying to take him out of the country on vacations etc. Now that he's older he spends more time with his mom as well and it isn't as much of an issue.
