Guys, What does it mean when an ex sends you a message saying 'have fun in your new relationship' ?

I updated my Facebook relationship status and then my ex sent me a message saying 'Have fun in your new relationship, I'm sick of having feelings for someone that doesn't give a fuck about me'. Him and I didn't part on the best terms, we broke up about a year ago. What does he mean? What does that message mean?

I had the same happen to me. If you guys break up there should be no contact. Keeping in contact with my ex allowed her to get over me and monkeybranch to a new guy. So here I am thinking we were going to get back together and she was already moving on. In my eyes the breakup just happened but in her eyes it was over a while ago. Lack of communication on both ends about having closure and what the relationship was probably made him think that you guys were still kind of together like I had thought. So he is hurt and took a stab at you bc he still wasn't over you
