What does it mean when a guy friend texts you to hang out?

he's never used the word "hang out" with me before until recently. and it was once... so far. We did have a falling out recently so it has been many weeks since we hung out/spent time together. usually he says things like: let's meet up; let's grab food; wanna come over. but this was the first time he said "hang out"

does it mean anything? Am I friendzoned?

You are reading too much into things hang out is basically another saying for let’s meet up

Nope they aren’t terms used only for friends my man and I use hang out when we want to see each other But for us we mainly use those words as code words because I have had family who have asked if they could use my phone to message someone or to call someone by us saying hang out my family if they ever ask to message or call someone they won’t know we were talking about us doing it

However I have also used want to hang out with friends and family and it meant just that want to hang out go grab something to eat because I’m trying to spend more time with my family
