What's with people not taking a break up when you tell them want to dump them?

It seems like if I say I want to end a relationship and know that it's best for me and that person they don't want it to end and they don't take but when it's the other way around and they're dumping me I'm fine with it and know its best for the both of us. I don't get why guys just won't let me end things with them if it isn't working for the both of us

I get that I do that no matter how many times they come back with a new account my thing is why do people feel the need to not accept it and to try and stay in that relationship when the other doesn't and wants to move on especially if its best for both people
