You can't. That's like asking a person to remember someone they've never met. It's impossible.

Time does heal your pain and some memories fade, but you can't forget someone you've been with for that length of time.

The best thing to do is to focus on rebuilding your life. Create new memories at new places, as well as the places you went together. It'll be painful, but gradually, his memory will go further and further to back of your mind, because the new memories will replace the old ones. Over time, you'll think about him less and less.

Tbh, you never do. You just learn to live with it. And with time you just get overwhelmed with other stuff and eventually meet someone else. But those memories will always live in a corner of the head
