Why would my ex still text me everyday, if he's the one who broke up with me?

Long story short, I found out he's been talking (and god knows what else) to some other girl. Of course he denied that there's something going on between them and they're just friends. In the middle of the argument, since I wasn't believing him, he said that if I want to break up, then we break up. Yet, since that day he still texts me everyday to say good morning or ask how's my day been and keeps the conversation going. Should I ask him what's going on in his mind?

Similar thing happened with me. I was not dating this guy but I cared a lot about him. He promised me he will stay forever, love me unconditionally (which I didn't believed). I recently caught him in a lie. He DENIED it and when I said I can't trust him, he act offended and he said he's leaving. I didn't stopped him. Now he's trying to contact me but I haven't responded. These people are only here to USE AND DISCARD you once the better option comes along. If they don't find anyone else, they'll ruin your life by marrying you and will have extra marital affairs behind your back.

They make fake promises and show fake care only to use you. They're weak cowards. He even lied to me that "you're the first girl I've talked to in my 20 years of life". I even tested him, he talks same with every pretty girl.

Yeah, I found out he was talking to other girls, whom he said are his "friends", but of course I didn't believe him. Then in the heat of the argument, he said that if I wanted to break up, then we break up. And the day after, he texts me and it's been around 10 days he's still texting me everyday to say good morning, or ask stupid questions to keep the conversation going. Like, WTF?

Because what he said didn't mean you have broken up he said if u want to break up did u say yes?

Well, obviously I said yes and he didn't seem like he wanted to work on it or anything. He was okay with that.

Then he is probably messaging u to see if u meant it as saying u want to end yhing but still treating it as normal would show u don't want to end things
