Why does my ex still text me everyday, when he's the reason our relationship ended?

It's been 10 days since we broke up, and he still texts me good morning, or asks how's my day been. Should I ask him what's going on in his head? I'm confused

Maybe he is trying to lessen the blow, when my cousin rejected his ex girlfriend he talked to her for 4 hours on the phone within 48 hours to show her he still respected her as a person and wanted her to be happy. I had guys reject me as a date that still showed tokens of concern such as giving me nutrition advice if they saw me acting foolishly, they still cared about me as a distant acquaintance.

it could be because he wants you back or he just can't acceot the fact that ypu are gone you should ask him ı mean maybe he just wants to be friends now but you should ask him

Yeah, after I found out he's been talking to other girls and god knows what else. In the heat of the argument, he mentioned breaking up first
