Why would this girl (my ex) and I always end up taking a more romantic turn, even if we're trying to keep it platonic?

Also, would it make sense that she'd keep space to heal from her old relationship? Especially given what I mentioned before, and the assumption that her being in a relationship could be detrimental to that healing? (But her keeping my contact on discord can be an indication that she does plan to loop back in time?)

(Her and I dated for a year. Broke up, but reconnected a couple times. Each time we'd either start treating it like a relationship again, or would end up dating. No mater if its 1 month of nc or close to a year of no contact.)

Yep. Thats the plan, been almost 6 weeks since we last spoke normally, and 4 weeks since she said she needs space after that last relationship. (A week prior to that last time we spoke normally, we did go out, and it was nice. And in the weeks before and week after, we did establish that we do have a real special connection, and can always cheer the other up, and that we only really wanna be with eachother. It hurts not having her right now, but I know she needs space, so Ill give it. Just hope I hear from her again soon)
