Why is my ex still lying?

My ex and i have broken up for months. He still lies about his cheating and won't tell the truth about the whole thing. He knows im not going to get back with him but he still continues to lie.

He’s lying with the hopes that you might let it go and give him a second chance. Perhaps try completely cutting off contact with him, it’s really not worth your time. You won’t get the clarity or answers you hope to get from him.
