I told my ex some bad news I found out about myself and he didn’t care?

So I found some bad news today and I was so upset I send a voice note and text to my ex and told him to listen to it when he got the chance this was at 10am. He clicked into it at 1.30pm and never responded all day I waited for him to say something as much as I was hurting then at 7pm I texted him to say thanks for you support and I blocked him.
He emailed me to say he never even listened to the voice message that the only reason he was on what’s app was responding to his mom that he was so busy in work all day.

I have never been so hurt in all my life from someone who said he cared about me to be this low I just can’t.

He then just said he was sorry to hear that and now I know he genuinely doesn’t care about me and how nasty he really is.

What’s your thoughts on this and before you all say he’s an ex this man told me a week ago he wanted me and cared about me.
