If you love someone should you tell them?

Hey guys and gals.. I have a question for you, in your experience of dating and breakups, if it’s been a while but you still think about someone and you still love them, should you tell them?

I feel like if you love someone you should tell them because you never know at any time it might be to late..

However what do you do if you’re afraid to tell them? Like what if they won’t want to talk to you? Or if they’ve moved on? Or if they act cold and indifferent when you tell them?

It honestly depends. This is a complex question with tons of possibilities. What if the person you are referring to is in a relationship? Then, in that case, it would not be a wise idea to profess your love to them. I wouldn’t confess because I would not want to strain my relationship with that person. I would have absolutely zero chance if they were in a relationship, right? So, what would I be getting out of confessing anyway? Besides, the awkwardness of course.

It’s different if the person is single because if they are not seeing anyone I may have a chance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with shooting your shot. Instead of wondering whether they like your or not, it would be best to ask them the same directly and save time and a hell lot of sleepless nights.

What is your situation? A tad more context would be better because I cannot give a good explanation of opinion without more background

In my situation, I don’t know wether he’s single or not. He blocked me to end our relationship bc he couldn’t deal with how he felt. But he just unblocked me recently but did not reach out. But I’m guessing not because why would you unblock a ex if your in a relationship? .. it’s been a almost 4 week no contact period.. but I still feel the same way for him and don’t forsee it changing. But I’m afraid of reaching out to him because he went to very much attempts to not talk anymore

Why did your relationship with him end? Was it toxic? If it was an unhealthy one, I would advice against getting back together.

People unblock each other for strange reasons. He might be following the no contact rule, or he may have just been bored. He may be curious with what’s going on in your life. Tons of possibilities, really.

If he has made it clear that he does not want any sort of relationship with you, it’s best to leave him alone. I’m sorry, I know it sucks, but you have to respect his feelings as well.

It ended supposedly because of distance but I think there was some other factor that he didn’t want to tell me. And maybe you’re right.. he probably does know how I feel and it’s mostly up to him to pursue it if he wants to talk to me.

Have you made it clear that you have feelings for him? If he wants to initiate contact, he will. But honestly, I don’t think you should wait around for him. Focus on building other healthy relationships and try to steer clear of this guy. Even if he initiates contact again, don’t get back together with him. Sounds like the relationship did not work for other reasons as well.. focus on moving on and healing yourself. You’re hurting yourself by thinking about him over and over.

I mean prepare for the unexpected always. If you are coming from a good place then do what you feel in your heart and if it doesn't work out and you don't get the response you expected then at least you know instead of wondering around you know.
