Hearing certain songs reminds me of my ex?

Sometimes I could be somewhere and a song comes on and it makes me think of my ex all the times we had and I get really sad.

Happened to today in work just all the memories come flooding back and knowing I’ll never get any of them back just hurts.

For the reference he dumped me and won’t come back to me as much as I tried and made effort it’s like I didn’t even exist.

But hopefully one day I will forget about him and never get sad when I hear certain music

That's very common and you will eventually stop doing it, or let it bother you.
