A lot of people want to believe that their ex will eventually come back. But will their ex really come back or are they just in denial?

From my experiences (personal and anecdotal) most relationships that end are usually completely off the table long term. These are usually because of a fundamental mismatch between the partners stemming from communication issues, incompatible life goals/needs (children, education, living standards, familial issues), or even financial strains. Sometimes one or both partners can change or mature and meet later in life on better terms, but I'd say that not living your life to the fullest because maybe someone will come back 5, 10, 20 years later simply isn't worth it.

You're right and wrong. A lot of people under 30 consider breakups as some huge disaster. It's not. When considering the remaining life span, breakup from temperory relationships we have are simply negligible.

Also, breakup never happens if both of them sincerely, deeply loved eachother. So even if he/she come back, it's always better to scoot. If he love you, he can never leave.

It simply means it was just one of many temporary relationships in your looooong life. It's time to enjoy and self improve now.

I was hopeful initially my last serious relationship & kept up communications. Eventually came to conclusion to stop wasting my time and date others.
