Are there people out there who only want their ex back once they see them doing better?

I keep reading stores about girls&guys who leave their ex partner for someone else then a few months later their ex gets into better shape or is making more money then they want them back. Is this really a thing? Do they actually miss the ex or only want them back because they are doing better

Frankly I wouldn't take an ex back even if they did change. If I tried once, I'm moving on.

Am saying like a guy leaves his girlfriend because she’s fat then wants her back when she uses the weight or a girl who leaves her ex boyfriend because he’s broke then wants him back because he becomes rich. Not talking about their ex being a bad person

I wouldn't take back an ex who left me because I'm fat and wants to get back because he thinks I'm "fit". Nor would I take back someone who is chasing money.

In all cases, the answer is an even firmer "no".
