Do exes come back after a rebound relationship?

So I was with this guy for two years then two almost three months ago he broke up with me left me confused and heart-broken, two weeks later I find out he's dating someone else, I was really hurt because before he decided to leave me he said he still had love for me and still wanted for us to move in together and have puppies but after he started taking to this girl he said he wasn't happy with me any more, is this a rebound or the "grass is greener on the other side" thing, any advise on this?

He's trying to heal and move on the only way he knows how to. As hard as it is, go no contact until he contacts you. You guys have a history together, and it's so much easier having a relationship with someone you love, and have loved for awhile than it is to start anew. Don't get your hopes up, but try and move on during this 'fling' he has going on.

yes we do have a history, we went through a lot together even made plans to get married in the future, he also said "I was crying yesterday because I know what we had" do you think he still loves me?

I'm in the same situation with my ex of 3.5 years, except he won't tell me how he feels. He still loves you, try asking him for coffee and see what he says to that. Not a date, just coffee to talk. Try to figure out what went wrong in the relationship and FIX it. The biggest mistake I made when I broke up with my ex 2 years ago was not fixing my part of the problem, and now I'm the dumped one hoping for a second chance. Keep me posted on what happens! He obviously cares for you still.

the sad part is that I know where things went wrong, I was trying to fix it I was literally begging him to not throw two years away and he did, I kept telling him that things we're going to change for the better but he said he had "holes" in his heart and that he needed some time to heal cuz the last fight we had he says it hurt him but it doesn't compare to the damage he did to me, believe it or not.. I'd give anything to have him back

Well it's a rebound so try not to get too upset. He still has feelings for you, which is good. Make sure you're both ready for a NEW relationship together. You both need to communicate what you both need to fix and why your last relationship didn't work. Try getting him to come see you for a couple hours.

I think so too because he was telling me how he still had love for me and that he has never loved any one like this before, I have not had any contact with him ever since the break up as for now I'm kinda waiting for him to contact me, also when I asked him to bring me back all my stuff he did but he kept some, what do you think it means?

he kept a caricature thing we got at a theme park, my yoga mat and most important he kept my two cameras and he knew how important those are to me

Really? Eventhough he looks so happy with this girl (ok I'll admit it I was stalking him on Instagram) up until I saw the profile pic since I unfollow'd him and his profile is private so he has a picture of the two of them all happy n crap.. do you think is he's just acting happy?

It just sucks cuz I was always there for him and I feel like he took me for granted you know

yeah plus I think I've been carrying his guilt, he said I hurt him and he wasn't happy with me any more but I was nothing but good to him, people tell me he was seeing this girl before he broke up with me that's why he's blaming me for the break up
