How do you deal with seeing your ex on dating app?

I have broken up with my ex 20 days back. So, after 10 days I got back to the dating app. To my surprise, he was active on the app. He updated his photos and everything. And it struck my mind if he was using the dating app when we were in a relationship. While he was breaking up, he said he was busy and said he didn't want to be with me at the moment. He refused to open up with me on certain serious topics. I always asked him the entire time if he wants to stay with me. He wouldn't say much. So one day I told him I'm breaking up with him. I unfollowed and blocked him from everywhere so that I could move on. Today I saw him visiting my profile through different profiles. I feel that he was never really busy. He didn't want to spend time with me. I feel again that I was more invested in him than he was. And, it hurts.. But what can say?

It wasn't really going anywhere from before like you mentioned. I think you dodged a bullet. Both are on the app now. If he is still visiting your page, there are some insecurities still on his mind. I think you both should move on. Can't speak for him but you do you.

Honestly all app based relationships are temporary. Any relationship to last has to go through a reality check and survive it. If a couple can fight and decided to still stick it out and continue to work on themselves those are the ones that last. Else prepare yourself for something that will go on for a bit and maybe break off. The responsibility of a relationship should not be one sided

If you see app based relationship it is like arrange marriage.. Except you go on dates. But, the thing is love is not when you look each other. But, in the same direction. I can't work out a relationship with someone who is not willing to stay in it.

You're right. I may have judged certain things without really experiencing it. You know better. But fundamentally it has to come for both side.

Do it unseen. Try to avoid temptation. If you can't resist give your self 5 minutes. Avoid most of the time. Have another plan. Break the bad habit loop. Trigger action reward. Find the trigger or not tho change the action and still feel rewarded.
