I haven't been on dating sites since December 2020, when I met my now-fiancee. Before then, I did see an ex on POF. I read her profile to see what she said about herself compared to what I knew about her. She lied about her age amd also lied about how seriously she wanted a relationship. We broke up because she wasn't committed to being a good partner in a serious relationship; she just wanted casual time together when it was convenient for her.

@Socaljp I used dating sites 2007-2009and 2015-2020 and found some wonderful, great women. . . and a few who were liars. If I had met them in bars instead of online, some would have been wonderful, great women. . . and a few would have been liars.

This depends on how the relationship ended. If we just did not "click" or she was just not happy and moved on, oh well, no hard feelings, "Swipe right, message them and catch up. Nothing has to happen, but we can still be friendly".

But if it was due to treachery on the other person's part, swipe left, or even make up a trolling profile (if you have the time and the talent for that, but then again, it might be best to just block and move on).
