Should I leave this long term relationship?

So my boyfriend and I have been together 7 yes and he's recently had these aggressive spouts. Like snatch things off the sofa, hit the game controller, have this temper tantrum like a kid in a difficult situation once. His little siblings told him he was aggressive and I have too. He does things for me but this aggressive behavior just makes me uncomfortable. I want to get married one day but I don't want to tolerate this in a marriage. If I had kids by him I don't want my kids to see that and take after that behavior either.

I think communication is key especially during a 7 year relationship and I think it’s worth talking about before completely throwing away. You need to tell him that it concerns you that he is aggressive in that manner and ask him why he feels the need to be that way. See what he says and go from there. Nobody is perfect and I’ve had an abusive partner myself (he shoved me physically when I did nothing to him) but sometimes myself I do have aggressive tendencies but would never lay my hands on a significant other

Yeah he never put his hands on me and the behavior just makes me feel uncomfortable. Like what if he got mad and hit me.

@asker it’s definitely something to talk about and if he lacks simple accountability regarding it, I think it’s time to end things.

I think you need to have a serious sit down conversation with him. Explain how what he does makes you feel, your worries and concerns for the future. Maybe suggest therapy. If he is resistent and doesn't care, this is a sign to leave. You need two people working to better the relationship otherwise it won't work.

You've answered your own question. Starting again is difficult but being a married single mother is worse.

Find your strength and rediscover yourself. Heal those childhood wounds and keep going

Definitely leave. All the red flags are there. By marrying someone like this you are signing a legally binding contract and it will be hard to get out. Walk away, infact, RUN!
