So I've certainly been in a long distance relationship with a Japanese guy and i don't think i feel any sort of connection between us now since he's really very fckin late to reply to my texts.. can't blame him since we typically type almost 80 texts maximum to eachother at once to keep our conversation alive. Like sure it's gonna take at least an hour to reply to all of that but do you think it's plausible that he says he got a lot of homework to get done and that's the reason for his late replies? For god's sake there are 24 hours in a day and there's no damn way he can't spare at least an hour for me..

This is a LDR and I assume you have never met in person. You have extremely unrealistic expectations for him. . . and you are going to base your bottom-line judgment of him on how long he takes to respond to your texts? Does it occur to you that your atttude is very shallow?

Well it sucks to wait so long and since it's a LDR i can't possibly convince myself if he's being genuine or not.

1. Not everyone spends the majority of the day on their phone.

2. When you embark on a LDR, this is what you are signing up for.

No, not at all. I strictly believe in being faithful to a partner. have never cheated on a partner in 52 years of dating and relationships. I thought you were asking how to break up and forget about him.

If you are just looking for a way to resolve this problem, have you tried scheduling a set amount of time every day for texting? Or have you considered FaceTiming him? That would be much more productive for you.

There's more things to get done in a day than text. If he did reply right away then I'm assuming you'd be texting back pretty much right away so chances are he just wants to get some stuff done

Japanese Work ethic is crazy. He's likely not lying. If you can't handle that, you're better off breaking up.
