Should we break up?

I'm trying to enjoy my breakfast and she starts going off about why a certain cup is dirty again. We get into a huge argument and she goes into the shower. I tell her that belly aching about the dishes is not needed, they will get done later. Im sick and tired of her Capricorn ways... i. e. being stubborn and pig headed and she never apologizes.

Living together is a game of give and take and of sharing chores and tasks. If both of you work, the tasks and chores should be split 50/50.

From what I can read in your account, it seems that you are in charge of dishes since you stated "... they will get done later", otherwise you would probably have phrased the sentence differently.

I don't know how you split the house chores but it seems that you did not do your share of the work correctly since your girlfriend/spouse/partner/SO had a fit when found out that the dish is dirty again. This signifies that it is not the first time that this has happened.

If you are assigned chores, then you should do them correctly just as you can expect your partner to do her share equally well. You would be equally right to complain about the quality of her work is she does not do it the way it is intended.

Now, flying off the handle for something so small is not really helpful and rather than to get upset, you should talk about the respective chores and how/when they should be done. That would avoid any future issues in your household.

If you can't get along, yes you should break up. That sounds like it is blown out of proportion if a simple thing like that turns into a huge argument. Doesn't sound like it is a good relationship.

Couples with strong relationships can communicate like adults and not resort to arguing over petty things. If it bothers her that much, she can say it in a way that doesn't turn it into an argument.

Flip side of that is why can't you just clean a dish when you are done with it? Is it really that hard or that much effort to do that real quick? I see you opened this question to girls only. I am guessing I already know what sort of response I am going to get, if any.

It does sound like the two of you need to part ways though. That isn't healthy to argue, certainly not over something like that or other trivial things.
