How do you avoid feeling lonely after a messy break up with your long term partner?

Mostly I have a good time, but some days feel lonely because I am in his country and he used to be my person here. I didn’t have anyone but him here.

I have some great friends but they live in different cities.

Others are married and I can only meet them once in a while.

It’s normal to feel lonely and you just have to let the break up take it’s course unfortunately.


Try and be around family as much as you can. Invest your time into a new hobby. This is my best advice.

So you have to look on the bright side. He wasn't the guy you thought he was you missed the warning signs and you got hurt because of it.
But the bright side is you found out before you were married, you found out before you were together for years him cheating the whole time behind you back, you found out before you had kids with him. You actually dodged a bullet. And best of all this other woman won this "prize".🙃
Now what do you do? You learn from this! You don't make the same mistake twice.

I believe He wouldn’t cheat on me when married. We were in the forced long distance due to the pandemic rules. He got his feelings faded and met that girl around that time.

His mom has been messaging me non-stop, telling me that girl is a manipulator and she wishes I contact him and get him back.

The thing is I contacted him and told him I would forgive right after I heard about cheating, but he chose that girl.

I won’t make that mistake anymore.

I just feel sad he stays loyal to that random girl instead of his fiancée. We actually lived together before the long distance and we were planning marriage, when I’d be back in his country.

Gosh… I talk a lot. But I have to say.

I don’t feel like I dodged a bullet, I felt like I had a great boyfriend, loving, caring, sweet, dedicated, nice and one of the best looking ones you can get out there and I lost him. I feel like I lost evolutionary speaking, in a way that he was supposed to be the dad of my children and now, he will be the dad of some other woman’s children.

He was also my first boyfriend and I was his first girlfriend. I have no idea why he would sacrifice what we had for another girl.

Yep, none of this surprises me. You're too close to it to even see it. You'll either eventually learn from this when the pain wears off. Or you won't learn from this and you'll keep repeating this pattern with other men as well. Some women learn fast, some women learn slow, some women... never learn.

Do things that make you happy
