Post break-up opinions needed. Did I do the right thing?

I had been dating someone for about 6 months. He started acting uninterested. Wouldn’t want to come to my place, didn’t want to come meet me for my birthday and said “if you came to my place I’d have baked you a cake”, left me alone for Christmas when he didn’t have any plans for Christmas. When I called him he would always talk for a bit then take other calls over mine saying “hold up *so and so* is calling me” and sometimes he just wouldn’t call back.

Every time I’d try to talk to him about how I felt he told me I’m too hard to please and too anxious.

One day he told me he got movie tickets for himself and it made me angry because he always said he never had time to spend with me but still got movie tickets for himself without even asking if I would want to join him. So I left him.

Did I do the right thing?

Yeah, ultimately he sounds as though he did not give a flying F- and thrived to keep or make you feel insecure about the relationship in general.
