Sex and Instinctual driven and really about conquering of another... in retrospect.
It ended because she tried to hit me. We were in the middle of a very intense argument, and she drew back her hand and let fly. I caught her wrist and held it and said, softly but VERY vehemently, "No. No violence.". Had she immediately backed down and apologized, things might- and I stress might- have been salvageable between us. Instead, she swung with her other hand. I caught and held that one, too, but things between us died in that moment. To add insult to injury, she still tried to struggle against my grip, despite the fact that she couldn't even move my elbows, much less my wrists.
We were a lousy match; that much had been apparent for some time, and I can fully accept that I wasn't what she wanted in a man, but you do NOT respond to a disagreement, no matter how strenuous, with violence.
she was cheating on me. I knew and sensed it
