I told him he has until August to tell his parents and ill break up with him. Our family doesn't like dating so we hid behind their backs since high school. We’re too old for this shit now. He told his parents he wanted to marry me and they said no since we are different religious sects. Basically i glowed the hell up since we dated. he's glowed down. I still care for him love him. But im tired of hiding. We doing long distance 3 hours. I moved away from our hometown. he's never visited me (been 2 years) but he lives at home so its hard to leave. I see him 3-4 time a year. We both in crazy intense school right now.

Looks fade so I don’t think the glow up matters, intentions do. If his family is deeply religious like Muslim then he will never marry you unless you convert which is never recommend unless you are doing it for yourself. So if this is a dead end situation then yes end it.

I’m not familiar with the different sects, but if it means his parents will never approve of you and he will only do what they say then there’s no hope for your relationship. It’s a hard truth but it’s true. You shouldn’t have to be kept a secret and you’re depriving yourself of being in a proper relationship.
