This is why some people don't like other people that they've never even met. People often get triggered by it.

Lets say for example you had a bully in high school or an ex, that treated you bad. Some sort of bad experience, then you see someone who is NOT them but looks like them.

People form bias against them, they don't want anything to do with them even if they could be the nicest, most friendly person on the planet.

I have seen someone that looks just like my ex that hit on me, was not my ex and I did not give him the time of day.

I went to a baseball game and there was a girl there that looked just like my ex girlfriend she was about 5foot 3 and had long blonde hair. I figured out that having a highly attractive male as your ex isn’t a very good thing, you can’t often miss him for other strangers.

Just nobody looks like that.

Yes I have once or twice and it caused absolute panic inside me. I momentarily freeze my heart races the urgency to run and hide overwhelms me. In that fear drive state I need to fight against the debilitating emotions and push myself to think logically. I immediately look for tattoos which would be visible... When I see they're not there I relax long enough to proceed with what I am doing but my fast heartbeat continues even up to 15 mins after I have left the area.

Not my own, but someone else's. I live in a tiny town. A local couple divorced when the wife was caught cheating. Three next thing we knew, the husband was showing up to events with his new girlfriend who looked like she could be a twin of his ex wife. He married the doppelganger shortly after.

Yes. There was a girl walking down the street and I was quite taken by her hip swing. It is a thing I like looking at. As she got closer I looked up and she was my ex.

She invited me back for auld lang syne. I still have total respect for her body. Just a shame her character wasn't as good.
