Why won’t he give me closure?

My boyfriend now ex ended our relationship a week ago. We had a talk and he made it clear we should both move on and go on with our lives. I asked him if I could know the reason why he was breaking up with me before we disappear out of each other lives but he told me no because I don’t know how to keep things between us. Even if that’s a case why do I need to keep things between us if he clearly doesn’t want me in his life anymore?

Hardly anyone ever gets closure after a breakup. Also he told you that you can't keep things between you and him and you are questioning why you need to keep it between you. Unfortunately you have to learn to accept you won't ever get closure no matter how much you want it.

This kinda sounds like you maybe cheated on him or shared something personal with other people that you shouldn't have.
