Why do guys treat you badly instead of just breaking up?

Why do guys treat you so bad and when you eventually leave because of their shitty behaviour, then they blame you and act like a victim and months later comes back when you move on and want you back? Did anyone ever treated their ex badly. If yes, why? And did you realize it later when they were gone?

Honestly, I have never been treated badly by and ex. Now I have been treated horribly by my girlfriends, but after the breakup they never treated me badly.

I never treated any of my exs badly either, but honestly after the breakup I just ignore them.
