What if they steal money from your only savings account to use it on gambling? Wouldn't that also have similar effect as when it's the typical betrayal of getting cheated on? Wouldn't all love, trust and security be gone right there too?

1. Financial, either by spending far more than agreed upon from a joint account or running up credit cards (especially in community property states).
2. Sharing private issues with those not entitled to access.
3. Berating the spouse to others or failing to defend the spouse's reputation.
4. Bringing up allegedly forgiven past errors.
