There's no correlation between love and fidelity. Just because someone loves you, that doesn't mean they'll always remain loyal to you. People in love can and do still cheat.

People cheat because they lack willpower. They have no self-control over their desires and emotions. So opportunity and circumstance controls their loyalty

I'd never trust someone just because they love me. My trust is soley based on who they are as a person, not based on how much they love me.

Betrayal of any kind is based on a person's true character. Not based on how they feel about somone.

Of course it is possible. Personally though, I put it down to weak will and staying in a relationship beyond it's course!
People cheat usually because they are too scared to break it off first!
