Do men cheat even if they love their wives?

My friend has being cheating on his wife for years but still together with her because he said that he is attached to her and grateful that she was there supporting him when he was nothing (now he’s a businessman” and mother of his kids. I mean technically his wive “stole” him 25 years ago from her best friend. He keeps looking for his most recent mistress like an obsession here and there because she’s like ten years younger and even told me “I could change my wive for her until she started acting cold”. lol. Years ago I met the other mistresses 🤣 and she was very aggressive with him and he said “Do you think I’m gonna change my wive for this crazy b+tch? Hell no!”
Some men have tell me that they cheat because it’s normal between men but that doesn’t mean they don’t love their wives.
That’s why I have trust issues because sometimes I see these behaviors from close friends and I’m like is that how the world should function. Cheat but still in love.
