Coming from a 9 years long relationship we broke up about 3 months ago and she moved out 3 weeks ago.
You will get used to it I guess. Like not like you have a other choice just keep yourself busy. Your biggest enemy is free time. The moment you got time to think is the moment you screwd up.
Really do random things. I got myself tickets for a concert repaired all stuff at home cook often play more games take a walk. Even if it's something you don't usually do just get up and do it. You might like it

More to your actual point, though, as a post-pubescent man, yeah still, every one still occasionally "tears at my heart" a little bit, almost 50 years later.
