so i recently emotionally collapsed because super boy and miss martian broke up. i loved them as characters, the show was brilliant, i was very connected to them. unlike my parent who don't belong together — these two knew and accepted everything about each other! they had communication and boundaries! why did they break up? why did she move on to another guy, a teammate of all? fudge.

But for explanation sake
So they broke up because Megan tried to be controlling. After Connor saw her use her psychic power in a rather brutal way while performing an interrogation, he gets uncomfortable around her. Megan, in an attempt to fix that, foolishly tried to erase Connor's memory of the incident. Connor knew what she tried to do, felt betrayed understandably and breaks things off. Megan doesn't know this cause she never asked him and he never told her so she moved on to the fish dude. Although that was extremely inappropriate of her.
I don't know if the whole explanation rant is what you wanted but i just wanted to put that out.
