Is this physical assault?

Today my boyfriend and I broke up and I’m currently 6 months pregnant with his baby. He started yelling at me in the car and wouldn’t calm down and he said he didn’t want to talk about the conversation he Brought up anymore so I said good because he was losing his temper on me and I was driving so I turned up my music to calm down and just not fight he then continued to yell at me even more and started pushing my hands away while I was driving and things were getting more and more physical I had to stop the car because I was afraid he was going to hit me or I was going to crash my car. He got out of my car at the stop light and left me. And now has me blocked on everything. Am I wrong for stopping my car. Is this considered physical assault.

No he was pushing my hands away from the radio and he wouldn’t stop and kept pushing my hands away till he slammed his hand on the radio to turn it off. And I decided to put the breaks on because I felt he was going to hit me at that point

He was yelling, you turned up the music to drown him out. Neither of you was acting very mature. I don't think you have a case for assault.

If you stopped the car and he refused to get out, that would give you somethign.

He said he was down talking. He plead guilty to a crime he apparently didn’t commit and said his family told him to do that. And I was listening and explaining that keeping me in the dark and not telling me things I just don’t understand why he would plead guilty. Cuz I never would. He than said he’s done talking so I said okay I turned on my music to move on that’s when he started yelling on top of his lungs at me and then pushing my hands
Away and it was interrupting my driving I almost crashed twice. And I felt he was going to hit me so I stopped my car

Just one comment on pleading guilty. In the US system you face far less severe penalties if you plead guilty than if you are convicted. In one case I know. guilty plea got them 3 months, reduced to 1. If they had been convicted, it was going to be 3 years and a strike.

I think it a horrible system because sometimes innocent people plead guilty to avoid having their lives destroyed by a jury that makes a mistake. (I was an alternate juror on a panel that sent what I am convinced was an innocent man to prison).

That's not physical assault. That's him keeping you from drowning him out with music when he's yelling at you for dumping him 6 months into your pregnancy with his kid.

Either way I wouldn't call that assault. Technically any unwanted physical contact could qualify, but I wouldn't try to victimize yourself on this one. It ain't a big deal

he didn't have to push you. he could have turned down the music if he wanted to talk like an adult. he put you and your pregnancy in serious danger. i would probably never talk to him again. ridiculous.

I have two options I spoke with a domestic abuse hotline last night and they confirmed that that was physical assault. They said I can get a restraining order before the babies are born and leave him off the birth certificate or I can put him on and we have to fight and he may try to take the babies away

get a restraining order. yes, he assaulted you. don't let him treat you like that or your future child. you have to do what's best for your child.
