Many do not tolerate it because it has economic freedom.

      1. She's more likely to have pressure to compete/one-up other women (and their husbands), either financially or in status, which is likely to make her feel unsatisfied, even if objectively she has a great life. She will always blame her husband for her unhappiness.

      2. She's far more likely to be around other high-status men if she's working outside the home, and her hypergamy will make her want to trade up (regardless of the quality of her relationship otherwise, or what it will do to the kids).

Way too many modern women believe that marriage should make them happy and satisfied every day, and that if they aren't (and it doesn't matter WHY), that she's entitled to divorce her husband, financially rape him, and tear apart her family so she can be happy. And most of the time, she ends up even less happy, the kids get screwed up, and her ex-husband is destroyed.

Being out in the working world increases the likelihood that she will succumb to outside pressures that will give her an excuse to break up her marriage.
