Why are so many people with children divorced?

Co-parenting, inviting new strangers into your children’s lives, sounds like a recipe for creating drug addicts and criminals. Why do so many people want to live that awful life? What kind of heterosexual sexual man wants to be divorced?

this is simply nonsense. poor parenting, inviting bad people into a child's life is a bad recipe.

why are so many people with children divorced? because the reality is people who are married are still more likely to have children. you have to be married before you can be divorced. see the correlation?

We do not get a lot of social training or advice when growing up which means we have to learn how to be in a relationship through trial by fire. The question is how many times you require to stop having them fail on you at which point you probably have a child or two along the way. That said, a divorce by itself is not the end of the world for a child. What matters is not the divorce, but how it is handled. If a divorce is handled badly then that is just analogous to parents fighting in general and pretty much equally bad for the children.

Granted, a divorce is a somewhat temporary problem as opposed to family drama which could just keep going forever theoretically. Having a child live with a single parent is a lot healthier than having both parents fighting every day in front of them.

Cuz having children is challenging and changes your relationship with your spouse completely. Your spouse is no longer a priority and some people don't understand that and expect the same level of attention they used to get prior to having a baby. The first few years of a baby's life are going to be demanding lots of sleepless nights lots of mood swings lots of things to worry about. Not to speak that some moms/dads completely neglect their partners once the baby is born. If there's not a good balance between caring for the baby and your spouse that's obviously going to have a terrible impact on your relationship. Great team work and effort is going to be necessary in this new phase.

It is because of the corrupt federal government. Take away the power of the federal government and women would not get divorced. If they did, and some corrupt family court judge ordered fathers to pay child support for children that were given to the mother and therefore are no longer the father's children, the men would move to another state and the women would get no money. No money; no divorce.

I coached soccer for many years. there were lots of kids whose parents were divorced. A couple of times the animosity was brought to the soccer game. Some fo these kids would have step fathers and nobody ever said anything good about them.
I was the product of a broken home as well. I never used drugs and never was in prison.

You're talking about so many different things here.
More often than not people end up divorced because they rushed into something that wasn't meant to be in the first place.
People cling on to whatever they can get as soon as they can get it and they're afraid of letting go because they believe they won't find anything else to replace it.
