Why do so many people wish there parents gotten divorced?

It’s not as good as you would assume. Not much better than having parents who hate each other and stay married both are very depressing situations.

My mother has hated both me and my dad throughout her entire marriage and tried to kill me off or ruin my life ever since I was old enough to talk. She tried twice to ruin my career by inventing fake police reports against me. One time she was threatening to rip my face in half so I tried to fend her off by making circular motions with my hands and left a quarter centimetre scar on her finger while defending myself against her. She used that 1/4 cm scar she got while I was protecting myself from being injured by her and wrote a place report against me saying I assaulted her and should not be thrown in jail. She wanted me to have a criminal record so I would never be able to find a job or find a place to live.

She also tried to poison me when I was 21. When I was 17 and a virgin, as I am now, she told me I was good for nothing except prostitution and should not apply to university. When I got into university, she told me I should try to pass my classes instead of acing them since I was too dumb to make use of my degree and then she convinced my dad to stop paying my tuition when I got low marks out of depression from the trauma of being abused by BOTH of my parents all my life and she also convinced my dad to lave me out of the will. She also wants my dad to leave me out of the will so that I'd be homeless after they died but now she is dying of brain cancer.

I’m glad that my parents split up. Not divorced, as they never married. But they weren’t compatible with each other. My mum found an amazing man 6 years after, got married, and I’ve never seen her as happy before, as she is with him. And my dad seems a lot happier without my mum aswell. Why would you want your parents to stay together if they’re always fighting and unhappy? That only drags out an already depressing situation. If they split up/divorce, then sure, it’s still depressing but it doesn’t stay depressing for very long.

I grew up in a house where my parents did not get along. I don't know how my brother and me even got born. It was not much better after they got divorced. I had heard that divorced parents try to buy the effecting of their kids by giving them sports cars and expensive vacations. ALas that was not the case.

They're probably tired of whatever conflict their parents have all the time. I wouldn't know. My parents got divorced about a year or so after I was born.
