Why are most people being divorced very bitter about it?

Question

We weren’t born together so why are most people so upset when they get divorced? If my wife said to me she no longer wanted to be with me I’d be cool with it. Nothing lasts forever, but life goes on.

Because people don’t get married to get divorced? People don’t get into relationships to break up. So You get married to spend y our life together with someone you love , and cherish , you are choosing someone the same way you want them to choose you. if you are religious? you are making a promise to God to bless your marriage and making a promise to stand by each others’ side through the good times and the bad times. You said Vows to each other to be as one and Til death do you part , when a spouse chooses to break those vows and chooses to be selfish instead , they are breaking that promise to each other , which will cause them to be bitter through divorce. When a marriage is having problems , it’s both you and your spouses’ job to fix it , if it can’t be fixed? Then you are best to file for divorce and go your separate ways. But understand , if your spouse is choosing to fix it and you are choosing not to? You are the one that is breaking your vows and your promise to God. Divorce is not easy, if you both aren’t on the same page with things , what is yours ‘ is hers as well , it doesn’t matter if your name is on the house , you will be forced to sell it and give her half the money for it.

Because they didn't want to get divorced. Maybe they invested a decade or two in a marriage with kids. Many men are bitter because they were betrayed in the marraige to be dumped so she could move a new guy in who is now sitting in his chair, watching his tv, drinking his beer, sleeping in his bed, eating his dinner, playing daddy to his kids and at night ploughing his wife's back field while they live in a roach infested motel jerking off to Internet porn, eating tv dinners and trying to hold on to their job so they can pay alimony and child support for kids that hate them.

With women even though they are in 80% of divorce cases the one who initiated they loath and don't respect their ex husband. He's to blame for all her problems and the better he does after the divorce the more she hates him. He's supposed to be crawling on his belly and support her as though he was still her husband in all things even though she got a new man. There's no creature as ruthless, heartless or as greedy as an ex wife.

Divorce hurts. A decision you made to pick your partner has turned out to be wrong. A commitment you made to yourself and to your partner has turned out to no longer apply. You lose economically in a divorce, especially if you're a guy. You lose the economic snd emotional stability that marriage gave you. You're going to have to enter the world of dating again to get a new partner, something you haven't done in years.

All of these together create stress, and make many people bitter about their divorce.

I was fortunate to have an amicable divorce, but I know that is in the minority of divorces.

If you are okay with your wife leaving you then you’re probably not happily married. It depends on the reason for getting a divorce. If someone cheated or did something so bad. I can understand being angry. Especially when they wasted decades of your life

My brother recently got divorced after 7 years of marriage last year. He obviously didn't want to but his wife filled for divorce. Though it wouldn't make sense for both pretending to live together especially with two little girls (8/6). My brother eventually married last year to another girl with three children (3,7,5) and seems happy. His ex wife is single and has the girls and seems happy as well. Makes me wish they were together cause the girls suffer not having both parents especially since they were little. Can't see the girls anymore, the mom doesn't my mother talking to them. Plus my brother has to pay $500 child support every month. He's definitely bitter about that though only till they are 18.

Divorce is one of the most stressful things that people can go through. For most people that is. It is the end of what was once a very meaningful relationship, and also the division of assets that they acquired along the way. Then there is the regrouping afterwards and wondering if they will ever meet someone again, etc.

A very strange question,  are you blind to human psychology?  No offense meant, really but.. Wth lol. Answer is completely obvious, an  unwanted divorce signifies ideals ruined,  which is psychologically a very hard blow to your mental structure

2. Stuck paying alimony to a cheater because of "no-fault" divorce.
3. Lost the inherited family home because that room addition made it community property so the spouse owns half.
