I have a friend who has a boy friend living with her. She wants to break up with him because he does nothing but drug. But He told her that he will commit suicide if she break up with him. So she is staying with him for now. What should I to tell her?

So basically, he doesn't value her enough to stop buying and taking drugs and be someone she can admire and rely upon. He loves drugs more than he loves her.
He claims that life is not worth living without her, but what he's really saying is, life is not worth living without his drugs.

No relationship can survive drug, alcohol or gambling addiction. Addicts need to want to change. They often need to hit rock bottom in order to acknowledge their self destructive behavior.

They need tough love. Losing everything, including their enablers is rock bottom.

On top of that, he is only her boyfriend; just some dude. She may have been infatuated with him at one time, but is she anymore now that she discovered who he really is? Would she want to spend the rest of her life with him? What kind of life would that be?

There is no reason for her to sacrifice her life for him. She should move on and find someone better. Whatever he does isn't her responsibility.

She needs out of the situation. Not sure how to say it to her but she does need to leave. If he is doing drugs, weather he takes an active course to commit suicide or lets the drugs do it slowly the outcome will be the same. Unless he changes, nothing will keep him from doing that. There is no reason to tie her self to an anchor while the ship is sinking.

What to do here? Push him into counseling, and perhaps even antidepressant meds. Tell him "You need help..." And you actually ARE on his side when you do this.

No that would be grounds to end the relationship. Any woman that's contemplating suicide is at best overly dramatic and at worst mentally ill. I would be mad at myself for nor spotting thus earlier on the the relationship and ending it then.
