Because she is a decent person and did not want to leave you owing you anything.
If you gave her the EUR20.00 prior to you separating, she felt that she needed to refund those 20 Euros in order to be even and to close that chapter of the relationship.
Most people that separate, regardless of who initiated the separation or the reason for it, would not return the funds thinking that he/she does not deserve the reimbursement of the loan. Give her credit for being nice enough to do it.
At least she left a last positive impression on you.
She said on the message... use it on therapy 🤣🤣 so not that decent
Well, I tailored my reply on your rather neutral question and I am not looking at who is/was at fault.
But therapy can mean different things. I would love to use those EUR20 on ice cream therapy :-)
Wanting to come clean and not owe anything. It helps if you want to cut a person away.
