Why do some women threaten "to go to court" over nothing?

For example, after a break up or even during the relationship, the guy did nothing wrong, nothing to compromise her safety. In fact, he supported her emotionally, financially, etc. Say he texted her once after the relationship to see how she was doing and then she threatens to take you to court if you keep bothering her. What I think is she feels guilty, maybe cheated, or is emotionally damaged.

If the guy did something wrong or is actually harassing, I understand, but what if the guy did nothing wrong?

It's like how Trump threatens to sue people for things that most people didn't even see as an issue. He fails because judges know that they're frivolous and won't amount to anything.
