Why would an ex rub their happiness into your face?

After a break up and they have moved why would you rub there happiness into your face? There once was a time were they loved you what would make them turn so cold hearted. I have had this problem and I personal have never done anything hurtful to anyone but it's OK to do things like this? What is your take on this..have you ever had something like this happen to you?

Been here... For girls, it's what they do. No matter how the relationship was they want you to know that they have found someone else to damage you, somehow keep you from moving on, and to make another mark on you. Not only is it to make you jealous, but it's a comedy tactic that puts a smile on their face(Ha ha ha I moved on and you haven't). It boosts their ego, and makes them feel good that they are hurting you in some way, because that insures that you still think about her.

If you are the one that got dumped, it's a way of telling you that you weren't good enough for her but this other guy is. If you dumped her, then it's a way of saying that she has moved on and she wants you to know that someone else is making her happy. It's not about how they once felt about you before it's about how they feel now, and in cases like these your feelings don't matter. Like I said, it's what they do.

Maybe she just wants to make you jealous, this has never happened to me, but I have seen this happening to some of my friends, and I do not fully understand why they would hurt someone they have loved, I don´t think I could do something like that, I know it must be hurting but just try to move on and be happy, but don´t be like her, you are much better than that :)
