Guys, what should I do?

So my ex broke up with me in a cruel manner 2 months ago. I went immediately no contact (never called him or text ever again). I was devastated.

Now on Christmas day, he texted me « Merry Christmas, hope you’re happy in life. I love and care for you, just know that. And I support your life contentment ».

Wich I replied « No you don’t (cause of the way he discarded me), and it’s ok I made peace with it ».

NGL, I didn’t make peace with it at all, I’m really depressed about it lol.

He then said « Ok, I do, but I’m gonna save my explanations to myself. Just know it that’s all »

Now on New Year Day, he texted me again « Happy New Year! May all the blessings flow like a river in your life ». I replied something similar, he said « you’re a real queen ». Then nothing else.

I don’t understand if he wants to go back together or he is playing game? And I don’t want to be the one who reaches out cause of the way he discarded me even tho I still love him.

Any suggestions please? Should I make a move or should I wait for him to come to me and be clear that he wants to get back together?

Woah that's crazy, your ex is definitely sending some mixed signals. On one hand he's saying he still cares about you and loves you, but on the other hand he broke up with you in a mean way and hasn't really apologized or made it clear he wants you back.

I'd say don't make the first move reaching out to him. He needs to own up to how he ended things if he really wants you back. Just reply to his texts politely but keep it short, don't let him off the hook too easy. Make him prove he's changed and wants to treat you right this time before even thinking about trusting him again.

Maybe wait and see if he asks to meet up in person to talk. That'd be the time to get real answers from him about what he wants. Don't get your hopes up too much though, some people just don't know how to let go completely. Protect your heart til you're sure he's sincere. You deserve someone who won't leave you hanging like that. Hope it works out for the best!

Thank you! This is what I think too. I don’t want to make it easy for him. I try to don’t get my hopes up.
I was actually feeling great before he reached out, I was almost ok with the break up and now he confuses me again. Gonna try to forget about him again and if he comes back we will see…

It's good you were starting to feel better before he texted again - shows you don't need him to be happy. And it's smart not getting your hopes up until he straightens things out face to face.

Just keep focusing on you. Hit the gym, go out shop with the girls, laugh and have fun again - don't let one dude bring you down twice!

And who knows, maybe in a few months when you're totally over it, he'll realize what a fool he was. Play it cool like his moves don't phase you.
