People with the Intent to cheat, so you rather avoid accountability by separating from a committed relationship, then to simply eradicate the intent?

Please explain your rationale? Why does anyone think it’s best to separate from a longterm partner, then to avoid cheating in general.
I understand if there is an increase of irreconcilable differences, the romance die, you just can’t see yourself growing with that person through your endeavors, but separate because you can’t handle your urges before it happens. That is avoiding accountability.
