Can I still get my ex back?

My boyfriend broke up with me 2 months ago. He said he didn't love me anymore and we have no future together. He also said to have no hopes of us coming back together ever again. I begged him to reconsider but he said he has moved on and I should too. And last month he started dating somebody else. It took him less than a month to move on from our 5 year relationship and date somebody else. I really can't handle this pain anymore. I tired everything my friends and the internet told me to move on but I still love him so much to the point that as each day passes by I only love and miss him more. I cannot imagine myself with anyone else but him. I cannot eat I cannot sleep I cannot do anything. Everyday is painful thinking he's somebody else’s now. It's been two months and I have made no improvement I feel miserable I cry all the time I just want for him to at least reconsider his decision of break up. I genuinely think I cannot be without him. Is there any chance that I can get him back? I genuinely need help on this. If not together at least any help on how I can at least make him rethink the break up. As a guy I need you opinion on how I can make him attracted to me again.

Doing the math... you started dating and were boyfriend/girlfriend since you were 15 years old. Virtually your entire "growth years" were with him, and now he's moved on, so you "think" he's the only one in the world for you. Everyone and anyone will tell you the same thing; he's NOT the only man for you, you're just fixated and hurt by the rejection.

This won't be the only time in your life you'll be rejected by someone for something. Many times it won't make sense to you, but it's something you can NOT do anything about. You can't "make him want you" again, and even if you could, WHY would you trust that?

My advice which some may say seems harsh, but here it is; what if was dead? What would you do if knew you'd never see or talk to him again? You'd grieve, then you'd accept and go forward, OR you'd make yourself mentally ill by not accepting he's gone. Well he is gone. He is dead to you and he's told you so, and he's not coming back. And as I said before, you couldn't trust him even if he did.

If this persists, you really should seek expert counseling. You're only 20 years old, and this shit will fester and destroy you from the inside out if you don't fix it right now. I can guarantee that once you do, you'll draw someone better suited to you, once you're ready and rid of your fears.

OK. Do you know why he broke up with you? OK he said he didn't love you any more but he didn't leave for some hot chick that he was obsessed with getting in. It was a month till he started dating again.

Not loving anymore is code for not getting what you want anymore. That could be sex, love, a barrel load of things. It is true that 5 years is close to the 7 year itch and maybe familiarity has taken it's toll.

I think you should look closely at what might have been lacking from his perspective and if you can address that than you might have a chance.

You’ve already been without him for two months that means you can be without him. I’ve been in your shoes before and know how painful it is. You’re literally going through grief and it hurts a lot before you heal. You need to go through all that pain before you start feeling better and the good news is that within a few months you’ll be fine.

Believe and accept what he said, He doesn’t love you anymore and doesn’t see a future together. He moved on and is with somebody else. Don’t waste your time living in a fantasy. Begging won’t make him change his mind. Trying to get his attention won’t make him change his mind. Getting it touch with him won’t make him change his mind either.

Best advice I can give you is accept and move on. Delete everything that reminds him of you. His phone number, messages, pictures, if you follow each other on social media block and delete. You don’t want to keep seeing his face when you’re trying to move on from a heartbreak.

In the meantime take this time to make yourself your top priority. Do the things you could never done when you were in a relationship. Spend time with your friends and family. Work on yourself. Find a new hobby. Keep yourself busy.

it did not take him less than a month to move on to a new relationship after a 5 year one just ended. he was probably already checked out months ago so he had time to move on and make his decision. sorry if i'm being so blunt but i've seen it happen before

i just know that the way you are acting, thinking you can't go on without him, that's completely false. do not put all of your worth in a guy, ever. you're only 20 years old. you'll look back on this and laugh because you have a way better future with someone else

i'm guessing this is your first heartbreak which is why you're taking it so hardly. i'm really sorry you're going through this. it's tough being together for that long, and at such a young age. take an hour or so out of your day and just feel all of your feelings. grieve, cry, do whatever it takes to get the feelings out. and then move on with the day. then, the next day, do the same thing. you will need a shorter amount of time to grieve as months go by and you will feel better. don't bottle up your feelings, please feel them. it is very important to get it all out now so you can fully move on

The problem is that he has moved away from you 2 months ago and that he has started anew with another person. As hurtful as this may sound, you have to accept that fact. Now what would happen if you try to get him back?

You will place him in a very delicate situation because he is probably happy with the new girlfriend. Attempting to get him back will result in the girlfriend being unhappy because you are going to potentially break the relationship he is in. You may be seen as a toxic person for wanting to break up a relationship.

What you have to do is to let the past behind and concentrate on the future. Join a club or take up a hobby that will take your mind off your current thoughts. With a little luck, you may also find someone that will see in you more than just a friend or buddy. Sharing the same interests is a great way to start a new relationship. Good luck.

What do you miss him for? The lack of love and respect? Your self respect gotta be stronger than your feelings, as the say goes. If he doesn t love you anymore, you can t do much about it. And he will only grow colder If you show him that you re still desperate for him. If you really want him back, then take your time and  at least  appear as you moved on. You don't love him after all, if you loved him you'd be happy that he's moved on and is happy with this other girl. You have an unhealthy fixation on him and that requires professional mental health assistance maybe even medication to be able to get over.

doubt it. You should ask yourself why you’re so desperate to get back with someone that doesn’t want you. it’s clear you have an unhealthy attachment to him and slapping the word love on it.
