What would you do if you woke up to an email from an ex that ghosted you for months expressing his or her desire to reconnect?

I would love for that to happen but even though it would hurt me to tell them "I can never trust myself around you or you with my emotions. If you want to be friends again we can see if it works slower than molasses. But I doubt I will ever let you in again"
